Zecharia SitchinA lot of you who were visitors to my old site know that the site mainly revolved around Zecharia’s Sitchin’s theory. For those people who don’t know, Sitchin is among very few people today who’s able to read some of the oldest written languages from our earliest civilizations. He has devoted his life to not only the study of ancient languages, but also their art, their culture, their beliefs, and the knowledge that they had. In 1976 he wrote a book called The 12th Planet, the first in a series of books he called The Earth Chronicles. His basic conclusions were that our planet has been visited by a race of beings in the past, which the Ancient Sumerians called Anunnaki (translated: Those Who From Heaven to Earth Came) and that these beings came from a planet the Sumerians called Nibiru (translated: Planet of the Crossing); a planet which, according to Sitchin, has a very long elliptical orbit and comes into our Solar System every 3600 years.

There’s a lot of talk going around that next year will usher in the end of the world. While its believers are divided on how exactly this will take place, there is a small but loud contingent that is sure that the Earth will experience a collision (or near-collision) with an unknown planet or Planet X.

About 40 years ago, astronomers discovered many smaller planets the size of Pluto beyond the planet Neptune (called “trans-Neptunian objects). They started to posit that these could be the tenth planet. Little did these astronomers know that an ancient culture knew about this planet way before they did.

The Sumerians found astronomical facts that would astound scientists today. Ancient Astronomer Zecharia Sitchin proposed in his tome. The 12th Planet, that they, discovered that a large planet nearly grazes the Earth every 3,600 years. The proximity to the other planet to ours allows the natives of the other planet to communicate with Earthlings. Sitchin wrote that he believes the last time this unknown planet came near ours was in 556BC. A quick calculation will show that the next arrival of this planet will be in 2900AD.

So if this planet does exist and if it will nearly collide with ours, it will supposedly come in 2900AD, long after we are all gone, why are people predicting the end in 2012?

Another theory related to Planet X states indeed a planet will collide with ours and it is called Nibiru. Richard Muller, a physicist, said that the reason why dinosaurs became extinct was because of a similar occurrence. A dwarf planet that goes around our Sun every 26 million years will come so close to the Earth that it will wreak the same destruction.

Non-believers in Planet X dismiss all these claims as a hoax. Government agencies like NASA have not reported and such astrological object to be nearing us and say that even amateur astronomers should be able to see something coming with their telescopes. There have been many theories that have been shot down as well, especially since these predictions of a collision have never taken place when they should.

Many people believe that the government is purposely hiding information about Planet X so that the news will not cause worldwide panic. It’s difficult to know what to believe but if you think about it, how can anyone be safe from a planet hitting our own?

Why should you believe the doomsday 2012 predictions, those prophecies of natural disasters, manmade calamities and cosmic collisions that are flying everywhere these days, from office cooler conversations to postings all over the Internet?

You might even have noticed that many of these supposed End Time prophecies contradict one another. Just on that basis alone, they cannot all be true.

Will the Illuminati impose a New World Order dictatorship on the world in 2012? Will a meteor, comet or perhaps Planet X – also known as Nibiru – smash our earth into billions of pieces? Will global warming kill off all life – or will a new Ice Age do it? What about doomsday predictions involving the dying of the oceans, or monster earthquakes, or supervolcanoes?

Who is more likely to be correct in their picture of what the End Times will mean? The ancient Mayas with their complicated calendars and baffling codices. The Bible authors with their prophecies of wars in the heavens and a final, terrible Armageddon battle? The scientists with their dire warnings of climate catastrophes and asteroid impacts?

There’s a lot to sort out in all the doomsday 2012 predictions, but I believe that it can be done. What all of the signs and prognostications are telling us is that something big is on its way for the year 2012.

That prophesied year of doom may bring any number of terrible events. It may also, as some contend, bring an ultimate transcendence for human beings, both as individuals and as a species.

The key point to take away from this is that we need to read and to study up on all of these doomsday 2012 predictions, including the work of experts who have spent years making sense of them and reconciling them where possible. A picture is emerging of a chain of cataclysms followed by a new way of life, one that many of us will be here to enjoy.

Keep your courage in these times, watch the news, study, and prepare. 2012 is coming.

There have been too many prophecies, messages left by ancient civilizations, and scientific realities to say that the year 2012 is just another Y2k. More importantly, wherein Y2k would be known on a specific moment in time, civilization doesn’t have to wait until 11:11 p.m. on December 21, 2012 to see if all the ancient mystics and scientific theories are true. We will see increased unnatural physical phenomena occur over the next five years.

Is there is brown dwarf, known variously as Planet X or Nibiru, our there (discovered by NASA in 1994) that is in an elliptical course that will bring it too close to us in 2012?

Does the Mayan calendar, written many centuries ago, predict the end of the world on December 21, 2012, the end of time, or the beginning of some new time?
